Sustainable urban regeneration

A century of history and innovation

From airplanes to world-class tractors
The history of the platform begins in 1925 with the opening of the aircraft factory. For two decades it produced some of the most innovative fighter planes of the time, including the I.A.R. 80, used in World War II.

The Russian occupation radically changes the story of the platform. In 1947, the Autonomous Region I.A.R. is dissolved, and the plant is transformed into the State Metallurgical Enterprise.

A year later, in 1948, the State Metallurgical Enterprise becomes Uzina Tractorul Brașov, and the aircraft factory a production unit for agricultural machinery.

The industrial past meets the offices of the future

In 2007, the plant is closed and goes into liquidation, the auction for the sale of the platform being prepared. The real estate company Flavus Investitii buys the platform, following an auction in which seven companies signed up, and thus begins the conversion of the space into a business campus.

In the following years, the old factory buildings undergo an extensive process of renovation and conversion into modern class A office spaces. The exterior architecture is preserved as a form of respect for the old functions of the area.

In parallel, in 2012 Ceetrus (called Immochan at the time), acquires the platform and continues the urban regeneration efforts for the entire area, integrating mixed functions on a total area of 120 hectares.

A strategic partnership and a new vision for the project

CEETRUS acquires the office project and integrates it into Cartier Coresi

In July 2017, Ceetrus (called Immochan at that time) acquires the office project and integrates the 40,000 square meters GLA into Cartier Coresi, an extensive urban regeneration project, emblematic of the company's new vision. Ascenta developers become strategic partners of the project.

March 2019 represents an important stage in the Coresi Business Campus project, by completing the construction of the H1 building, within the third phase of development. The H1 building has an area of 15,000 square meters, and the investments in its construction amounted to the total value of 14 million euros.

After the development of retail spaces (Coresi Shopping Resort), apartment buildings (Coresi Avantgarden) and office spaces, the revitalization of the iconic Hangar follows. Defining new functions relevant to the Coresi neighborhood community is a priority for CEETRUS.
