Coresi - a neighbourhood with selective waste collection
Since the design of the Coresi district, a firm direction of development has been the component eco-friendly and thus the largest urban regeneration project in Romania was born at the foot of Tampa, a neighbourhood of the future built today.
Cartier Coresi is distinguished by reduced environmental impact of buildings, block buildings with green certificates; generous green areas, smart lighting and irrigation system and underground waste collection bins.
From 2021 we have taken a step forward to address the city's need to increase the municipal waste recycling rate by installation of separate collection bins for paper, plastic and household waste. Thus, more than 90 tripartite bins have been installed in the neighbourhood, in addition to the bins installed both in the mall and the parking lot of the mall, as well as in the business campus area.
In the Cartier Coresi, lovers of sport and outdoor movement can enjoy outdoor fitness areas, running and cycling tracks and competitions on Sports Alley that we organise with Coresi partners. We also don't forget our non-ambulatory friends, who can join us on walks, runs or bike rides, with trails provided for them.
In the residential area, we implemented the waste collection system in underground bins, with recycling by category. Underground household waste disposal in the Coresi district is a friendly and smart model of waste collection and a facility rarely found in other districts in Romania.
In order to enhance the comfort of the community, on Aviators Alley have been installed tripartite bins for selective waste collection, with a modern design that blends in perfectly with the street furniture in the area. The pedestrian walkway, as the alley is known in the community, has long since become the centre of attraction for residents and all those visiting the Coresi district.
The joy of spending time outdoors is now enhanced in the Cartier Coresi by sensory pathway in the residential area where we can walk barefoot to reconnect with nature.
From the very beginning we have created a neighbourhood aware of the importance of environmental conditions, translating the principles of ecology (the science of studying habitat) into the fundamental development principles of the Coresi community, the neighbourhood becoming our home, everyone's home, which we care for with responsibility.
Coresi district is a district with multiple functionalities: residential area, commercial area, business area, tourist area, educational area and entertainment area, all of which are part of a sustainable and sustainable development.
The green areas in the district are generous: Coresi Mall - 22,000 sqm; Coresi Business Campus - 23,000 sqm and Residential Area - 45,000 sqm, with constant efforts being made to equip and maintain these areas to high quality standards.
What's more, the partners who join the Coresi community share the same environmental concerns. Thus, for the diMansions Fun Garden Hit Music Festival from 24 to 26 June 2022, the organisers have taken a series of measures to support the eco-friendly trend in the Coresi neighbourhood: the use of reusable cups; the use of crockery made from recycled materials; selective waste collection; partnership with SNRB and the promotion of pedestrian access to the festival.
